The Trustee’s ultimate responsibility is to protect members’ benefits that have been built up in the ARP. These changes are part of our strategy for maximising the long-term security of members’ benefits.

Will my benefits change as a result of the merger? (17068)
No, your ARP benefits haven’t changed as a result of the merger. The three affected sections provided members with slightly different benefits and these differences have been retained following the merge of the sections.

Will the actuarial factors used to calculate my benefits at retirement change due to the merger? (17069)
The actuarial factors have not changed following the merger. Factors are reviewed regularly and will be reviewed after the valuation in 2025.
